To challenge preconceived ideas about the home, we will define ‘aggregation units’ as intermediate organizations in between the scale of the housing unit and the scale of the whole building; or in between the scale of the individual and the collective. They are the minimum domestic environments necessary for everyday activities. In some cases, they might be limited to a housing unit for a single person, containing all domestic facilities; or in other cases, they might bring together different users so they can share communal amenities, such as access, cooking, storage, mobility, bath, work environments, leisure facilities, etc.
This Task has two main goals:
1. To define who the users of your housing project will be.
2. To design the basic domestic cells at the core of your housing project, as housing units and the aggregation system they use to cluster together with other units, sharing common amenities.
