Under-Deck Frontier: Building the Shadow 세운상가 하부 공간은 도시의 잠재된 중심부가 아닌, 주차와 적재가 만연한, 공공성을 상실한 어둡고 열악한 도시의 흉터이다. 이러한 환경 속에서, 이 프로젝트는 구조적인 어둠을 도시적 잠재력을 지닌 '언더-데크 프론티어'로 재해석한다. 측광, 천광, 인공광이라는 세 가지 빛 요소를 정교하게 제어하여 네 단계의 어둠을 경험하는 공간을 창조한다. 어둠의 전시 공간으로 이 방치된 도시적 공극을 활성화함으로써, 그림자를 긍정적이고 극적인 건축 재료로 인식하도록 도전한다. 궁극적으로, 이 프로젝트는 방치된 도시 기반 시설을 활성화하고 도시 내 숨겨진 공간적 가치를 극대화하는 건축적 개입의 새로운 가능성을 제시한다. The under-deck of Sewoon Sangga is not a center of urban potential, but a dark, dilapidated scar where public function has been lost, consumed by parking and storage. Within this environment, this project reinterprets the structural darkness as a new urban frontier. The design precisely controls three light elements—side, top, and artificial light—to create a progressive journey through four distinct levels of darkness. By activating this neglected urban void as an Exhibition of Darkness, the project utilizes shadow as a positive and dramatic architectural material. Ultimately, this project suggests a new potential for architectural intervention to activate neglected urban infrastructures and maximize hidden spatial value within the city
