The front brick is based on the familiarity that comes from Korean materials. Program Exhibition spaces and open libraries that people can use freely are arranged on the lower floors. Relatively traditional and quiet library programs are arranged on the upper floors. Mass 1. clean up the existing elevation. 2. Add mass based on two axes. Create vertically communicable atrium. 3. Make mass that communicates with the park. Create a new horizontal axis and connect it. Reuse The narrow window and the interior walls that looked stuffy were removed. The pillars and structures were maintained to utilize the axis of the publishing and cultural center. Material To reveal the characteristics of modern and traditional materials, traditional front bricks and modern glass were used. White bricks were mainly used as the space between the two materials. Among them, glass was used on the first floor to emphasize modern characteristics.
