Concept
Back To Basic Existing libraries have programs divided by floor, and the last floor is the space where most people concentrate and study the most. A library is not just a space for storing and reading books, but a space for studying. By maximizing these programs, these spaces were placed on all floors and covered with the rest of the spaces. Therefore, four mass penetrating the floor were formed so that these mass became the central space, so that the movement of each layer also occurred in the same mass, and the movement between the mass was moved through the space surrounding the mass to emphasize the power of the mass.
Mass diagram
1. Through the Core By placing the concentration space in the core, the other space covers the concentration space and moves vertically through the concentration space 2. Distribute the Core The concentration spaces are divided into four mass and placed in the entire space, and each mass has its own program independently but also becomes a core that connects the entire space. In addition, the rest of the space consists of four mass. 3. Amplify the Core By adjusting the arrangement of each core, the mass of the four cores was set to be more prominent on the outside and inside, and a renovation strategy was established by connecting the connection between the Building A and the Building B through the core.
Site Analysis
The Expansion of complex cultural space In 2014, various types of complex cultural spaces were created as the government supported the development of complex cultural spaces in Seongdong-gu. It is not just the act of buying and selling goods, but various forms of cultural forms such as exhibitions, commerce, performances, and workshops have been created, and many interesting buildings have been created as spaces are needed to do this. I would like to accept this flow of Seongdong-gu into the library's program.
The existence of Seoul Forest Seoul Forest is not just a place that serves as a forest. Seoul Forest is a space that serves as the final destination for the connection of the complex cultural space from Seongdong-gu, and is a very important place where Jungnangcheon Stream flows to the left and the Han River to the bottom. In other words, it may be a transfer space to another space or a destination for the movement of space. Due to the creation of a unique forest, Seoul Forest is a space visited by many people as well as residents, creating a comfortable mood given by nature.
