My section model shows how U glass facade system can be applied to building. I want to hide frames on facade as much as possible and I thought U glass is proper as U glass don’t need mullions up to 6 meters. U glass can be double glazed by attached crossing each. Double gazed U glass is good for insulation and soundproof. As I want to make building look like it is floating on the ground, I use steel structure members under the frames. They make shadow and hide the structure bearing the load. To minimize the horizontal glass frame on top of the facade, I connected the parapet and frame. There are gaps between columns and U glass facade to make column’s shadow invisible from outer view. To make the gap between columns and U glass facade, Parapet’s length is adjusted as it connects with U glass frame.
