I wanted to feel the space of the timber structure and feel the warmth of the wood, so I wanted to use the wood for the columns, beams and also glass frames. Glass units are fixed onto the out side of the wood frame. And the glass and fixings are secured to the frame with cover boards that preserve the look of the timber frame. There is a glazing tape between the frame and the glass, so glass is not directly attached to the oak frame and will not be effected by the movement of the timber frame.
