Green Façade /Green Remodeling: Prospective changes in urban landscape at Teheran Valley in Seoul, KoreaThis project intends to review the prospective changes in typical block in the Teheran Valley in Gangnam, Seoul in terms of green remodeling related to the building skin. Upon applying updated FAR and building height regulation in the 20 years old block which is established during building boom of 1990s under the loose energy regulation, students design buildings composed of partial remodeling and partial new construction simulating various environmental aspects such as insolation, daylight, airflow and energy use. New façade and change of urban landscape is proposed reflecting new energy policy and guideline for sustainable urban environment in terms of block scale as well as individual building indoor environment level.
